This is a great area to stay in as it is close to many of the main attractions and has a great selection of restaurants and bars. Additionally, it is close to the Vatican, the Colosseum, and the Spanish Steps. There are plenty of hotels and B&Bs to choose from in this area, so you should have no problem finding a place to stay.
