I’m planning a trip to Sri Lanka and I’m wondering when the best time to visit would be. I’m looking for a balance of good weather, fewer crowds, and affordable prices. I’m hoping to find a time where I can explore the country without having to worry about the weather or the cost. I’d love to hear from people who have visited Sri Lanka before and can offer advice on when the best time to visit would be.

The best time to visit Sri Lanka is from December to March, when the weather is dry and sunny. This is the peak tourist season and the most popular time to visit. April to September is the monsoon season, when the country experiences heavy rains and high humidity. The best time to visit the hill country is from December to March, when the weather is cooler and the views are spectacular.
