What To Wear Kayaking In Spring

I’m planning to go kayaking in the spring and I’m wondering what I should wear. I’m looking for something that will keep me warm and dry, but also allow me to move freely. I’m thinking a wetsuit or drysuit would be the best option, but I’m not sure if I should wear a hood or a hat. I’m also unsure if I should wear a life jacket over my clothing or if I should just wear it under my clothing. Any advice on what I should wear would be greatly appreciated.
