I’m looking for advice on what to wear for running in 40 degree weather. I’m usually comfortable in a t-shirt and shorts in warmer temperatures, but I’m not sure if that’s appropriate in this weather. I’m looking for something that will keep me warm and comfortable while I’m running, but also something that won’t be too bulky or heavy. Any suggestions?
I’m a runner, so I know what to wear in 40 degree weather. I start with a base layer of a lightweight long sleeve shirt and a pair of running tights. I then layer on a windbreaker and a pair of gloves. My head and ears stay warm with a hat and a buff. I also wear a pair of running shoes with a good grip on the bottom.
I know that if I overdress, I’m going to be too hot and uncomfortable. So I make sure to keep my layers light and breathable. I also make sure to stay hydrated and take breaks if I start to feel too warm.
Running in 40 degree weather can be a challenge, but I’m prepared for it. With the right clothing and a little bit of determination, I can make it through my run with a smile on my face.
