What To Wear Cycling In Winter

I’m looking for advice on what to wear when I go cycling in the winter. I’m a bit worried about being too cold, but I’m also worried about overheating if I wear too much. I’m wondering what type of clothing I should wear, and what kind of accessories I should bring along. I know that layering is important, so I’m thinking of wearing a base layer, a mid layer, and a waterproof outer layer. I’m also thinking of wearing a hat, gloves, and a neck warmer to keep me warm. I’m also wondering if I should wear a pair of tights or leggings to keep my legs warm. Any advice on what to wear cycling in winter would be much appreciated. Thanks!

  1. I love cycling in the winter. The crisp air, the snow-covered trails, and the feeling of accomplishment when I reach my destination make it all worthwhile. But in order to stay comfortable and safe, I have to dress appropriately for the weather.

I start with a base layer of a long-sleeved shirt and a pair of thermal leggings. On top of that, I wear a windproof and waterproof jacket. I also make sure to wear a helmet, gloves, and a neck warmer.

My shoes are important too. I make sure they’re waterproof and have enough grip to keep me from slipping in the snow. I also wear a pair of wool socks to keep my feet warm and dry.

Finally, I make sure to bring a spare set of clothes in case I get wet or cold. That way I’ll be prepared for any situation.

Cycling in the winter can be cold and uncomfortable, but
