What To See In Old Town San Diego

I’m planning a trip to Old Town San Diego and I’m wondering what I should see while I’m there. I’m looking for something unique and special that will give me an authentic experience of the city. I’m hoping to find something that will make my trip memorable and give me an insight into the history of the area. I’m also interested in the culture and cuisine of the area. Any suggestions of what I should see in Old Town San Diego would be greatly appreciated.
