What To See In Maine In October

I’m planning a trip to Maine in October and I’m looking for suggestions of things to do. I’m looking for activities that will take advantage of the fall season. I’m hoping to find things that will let me experience the beauty of Maine during this time of year. I’d love to find outdoor activities that will let me explore the area, as well as some indoor activities to enjoy in case of inclement weather. I’m also looking for recommendations on places to stay and places to eat while I’m in Maine. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
