I’m planning a trip to Gainesville, Florida and I’m looking for suggestions on what to do while I’m there. I’m interested in experiencing the culture, trying some of the local cuisine, and seeing some of the natural beauty of the area. I’m also looking for some fun activities to do with my family. Any suggestions on what to see and do in Gainesville would be greatly appreciated!

Gainesville is a great city to explore with plenty of things to do and see. Some of the top attractions include the Florida Museum of Natural History, the Butterfly Rainforest, the Harn Museum of Art, the University of Florida, the Matheson History Museum, the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens, the Devil’s Millhopper Geological State Park, the Thomas Center, the Cade Museum of Creativity & Invention, and the Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo. There is also a variety of outdoor activities such as kayaking, canoeing, and hiking at Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park, biking along the Gainesville-Hawthorne State Trail, and bird-watching at the Sweetwater Wetlands Park.
