What To Do If You See A Dog In A Hot Car

I recently encountered a situation where I saw a dog left in a hot car. I was concerned that the animal could suffer from heat exhaustion or even death. I wanted to help the dog, but I was unsure of the best way to handle the situation. I was worried that if I opened the car or called the police, I could be accused of breaking and entering or vandalism. I also didn’t want to put the dog in any further danger.

I’m wondering what I should do if I ever find myself in this situation again. I’m looking for advice from people who have been in a similar situation and can provide some insight into what I should do. I’m hoping to get some advice on how to safely and legally help a dog in a hot car.
