What Is The Weather Like In Greece In January

I’m planning a trip to Greece in January and I’m wondering what the weather is like during this time of year. I’m hoping for mild temperatures and sunny days. I’m wondering if it’s going to be too cold for swimming in the ocean or if I’ll be able to enjoy the beach. I’m also curious if I’ll need to pack a lot of warm clothes or if I can get away with just a few layers. Any advice or insight from people who have visited Greece in January would be greatly appreciated.
