The weather in Turkey varies depending on the region. Generally, the climate is hot and dry in the summer and mild and wet in the winter. In the coastal regions, temperatures can reach up to 40°C (104°F) in the summer, while in the mountainous regions temperatures can drop down to -20°C (-4°F) in the winter.
