How To Travel With Cpap Machine

I’m planning a trip and I’m wondering how to travel with my CPAP machine. I’m concerned about the size and weight of the machine and how to protect it from damage while I’m traveling. I’m also wondering if I need to get a special bag or case for the machine and if I need to bring any special adapters for different outlets. I’m also curious about airline regulations for traveling with a CPAP machine and if I need to get any special permission or paperwork to take it on the plane. Any advice or tips for traveling with a CPAP machine would be greatly appreciated.
