How To Hire A Travel Agent

I am looking to hire a travel agent to help me plan my next vacation. I have never used a travel agent before, so I am not sure where to start. I am hoping to find someone who can help me plan a trip that fits my budget and interests. I would like to be able to communicate with the agent easily and get personalized advice and recommendations. I am also looking for someone who is knowledgeable about the destination I am visiting and can provide me with helpful tips and information. I am open to suggestions and am looking forward to hearing what a travel agent can do for me.
