How Long Does It Take For A Short Pulse Of Light To Travel From One End Of The Glass To The Other?

I’m curious to know how long it takes for a short pulse of light to travel from one end of a glass to the other. I understand that the speed of light is constant, but I’m not sure how that applies to a glass medium. Does the type of glass matter? What about the size or shape of the glass? I’m hoping to get some insight into this situation so I can better understand the concept.
