The best thing to see in Cannes is the Cannes Film Festival. This is an annual event that takes place in May and is one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world. Other attractions include the Promenade de la Croisette, a beautiful beachfront promenade lined with palm trees, luxury hotels, and boutiques, the Palais des Festivals et des Congres, a convention center that hosts the Cannes Film Festival, the old town of Le Suquet, and the Forville Provencal Market.
