How Do Solids Allow Sound Waves To Travel So Quickly

I’m trying to understand how sound waves travel so quickly through solids. I know that sound waves travel in different mediums, such as air, water and solids, but I’m not sure how solids allow sound waves to travel so quickly. I’m wondering if it has something to do with the density of the material, or if it is related to the vibration of the particles within the solid. Is there a scientific explanation for this phenomenon? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
