Where To Stay In Cinque Terre

I am planning a trip to Cinque Terre and I am looking for advice on where to stay. I am looking for a place that is comfortable, affordable, and close to the attractions I want to visit. I am looking for a place that is not too far from the beach and the hiking trails, and I would like to be able to take public transportation easily. I would also like to be able to find restaurants and shops nearby. I am open to suggestions and would love to hear from people who have stayed in Cinque Terre before.
