What To Wear In New Orleans In September

I’m planning a trip to New Orleans in September and I’m wondering what to wear. I’m looking for advice on what clothes to pack that will be comfortable and appropriate for the weather. I’m expecting it to be hot and humid, so I’m thinking lightweight fabrics that will keep me cool. I’m also looking for advice on what type of shoes to bring. I’m guessing sandals and flats would be best, but I’m open to other suggestions. I’m also interested in what type of accessories to bring, such as hats, scarves, and sunglasses. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  1. New Orleans in September is typically hot and humid, so it’s best to wear lightweight, breathable clothing in light colors. Shorts, skirts, and sundresses are all great options, as are sandals and other open-toed shoes. If you plan to visit any churches or other places of worship, it’s best to dress conservatively and bring a light jacket or wrap for cooler evenings.
