What To Wear In Seattle

I’m visiting Seattle for the first time and I’m not sure what to wear. I’m from the South, so I’m used to warm weather and I’m worried that I won’t be prepared for the cooler temperatures. I’m looking for advice on what to wear in Seattle during the summer months. Is it necessary to bring a coat or a heavier jacket? Should I bring layers? What type of shoes should I wear? I’m also looking for advice on what to wear for a night out in Seattle. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
