Where To Stay In San Francisco Without A Car

I’m looking for advice on where to stay in San Francisco without a car. I’m looking for a place that is easily accessible to public transportation, restaurants, and tourist attractions. I’m also looking for a place that is safe and comfortable. I would prefer to stay near the downtown area, but I’m open to other suggestions. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
